Stämning inlämnad till domstol mot tillverkare av kopior
Den 11 januari 2011, ingav Ruyan Investment (Holdings) Limited, ett helägt dotterbolag till Dragonite International Limited, en stämning i domstol mot elektronisk cigarettillverkare Smoking Everywhere, Inc., Instead, LLC., and BLEC, LLC. för överträdelse av US Patent nr 7.832.410 i den federala distriktsdomstolen i Kalifornien, USA. Nordic Eco Smoke som är Skandinavisk partner till Ruyan välkomnar detta då fler mindre företag och privatpersoner säljer kopior i Skandinavien från liknande tillverkare.
The '410 patent is the first United States utility patent to issue in the name of Hon Lik, who is recognized as the inventor of the electronic cigarette. Dragonite is confident that it will prevail in this litigation and that its patent portfolio will provide broad patent coverage over the electronic cigarette as more patents are granted from Hon Lik's core patent applications. Dragonite International Limited (Stock Code: 0329) has been listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited since April 2001, formerly known as 'Ruyan Group (Holdings) Limited'. The Group is principally engaged in the production and sale of health care products, pharmaceutical products and electronic cigarettes. In June 2007, the Group has acquired entire shareholding of Best Partners Worldwide Limited (currently known as “SBT Investment (Holdings) Limited”), which engaged in the manufacturing and sales of electronic atomizing cigarettes. The Group takes an active position in developing the domestic and overseas markets under the brand name of “Ruyan”, it will greatly expand the scope of business and enhance the long term development of the Group.
